Just bought this on Amazon this morning. Planning to mount it to one of my craftsman tripods and swap out the 2000 lumen Costco Snap On light. Figured I'd try something a bit more powerful for outdoor use at work..

It's a twin COB LED fixture that comes with a 120v plug you can hardwire in for portable use. Rated at 100 watts and 10,000 lumens, IP65 rated .. I think that will be a little step up in lighting for money.. :)

I've been trying out different lights as well. Not really satisfied with the Bounce Light at the Moment, :lol:

I strongly doubt it is actually 10,000 lumen. That being said, it might be quite bright if the manufacturer isn't lying about them using Bridgelux LEDs (which aren't bad quality usually).

The reviews are all impressive even after you weed out the paid ones... honestly I'm just curious about HOW bright it actually is, and the only way to find out for myself was to buy one. If it ***** it goes back, no big deal.

Having worked with a lot of lights in the past, and currently designing one from scratch i'd say this light is likely between 7200-9000 lumens. Not to say it won't be a good light.

Honestly, even if u took the difference and called it 8,000 lumens, that's a serious step up from a light rated at 2000. (Which is likely a bit generous also)

I'd be interested if u were designing something similar with a high output.. I could even get a few of them bought if it was something reasonable. My plan was to buy this Amazon one on my own as an experiment, and if it was something really good - put a request in with a vendor to get a few more for work.

I really like that slim cordless you guys offer, the 40sl I think it is.. It's saved in my shopping cart on Amazon, but I got lights coming outta my **** at this point, so it'll have to wait a bit.. The Capri tools led model is pretty great, I'd imagine the Astro would fit into some pretty tight places.. I'm surprised it doesn't get mentioned more often in here.

The Husky lights get pretty good reviews. I have the 2500 lumen 3 panel led Husky light and it works really well. Two years ago we used it to light up 1/2 of a pond to play ice hockey at night. The other 1/2 had like 5 or 6 dual halogen work lights & spot lights and the Husky easily out shined them by a long shot. I've been very happy and impressed with it. Here's the link. I would venture and be bold enough to say between the different brands this design is under, it's currently the best selling automotive/inspection light on the market.

You just wait until 2017 :bounce:

I hooked up the 120v plug that it came with. It looked like I just turned on the sun.

No picture would do this thing justice - with the amount of light this thing puts out. Its years later at this point - and people at work dont even use it cause its so big and so bright.. lol

It sat in that locker for the entire 2 years i was away from this company and came back. These days we have a dozen Milwaukee tower lights, 3 different Pelican lights, and i had gotten 2 corded (commercial quality) 8’ tall 6000 lumen tripod lights that were snatched up. My ‘baby’ waited for me to return.. lol
