Just ordered my first HAZET tool!

I'm usually not a sucker for so called "limited quantity" sales but I have been in the market for a quality 1/2'' torque wrench anyway. I bought the HAZET 1/2'' torque wrench which will be my first nice torquing tool. For about $150 I feel its a good deal.

Yeah, they really haven't been around long enough to make a name for themselves.

Hazet is a German tool manufacturer that was founded in 1868. They make high quality hand tools.

Hazet tool kits came in Porsche, VW, etc. In fact most German cars use Hazet.


They make REALLY cool toolbox/ work caddy's as well!

Subzero - that is an amazing looking TqW! I have a few Hazet pieces and they have a totally different feel to them in terms of feel and balance (in a good way).

Turn the bit in the end of the handle, mine is a different model wrench though.

Just received the Hazet torque wrench. It took a while to get it from Germany but initial thoughts are promising. It has a really nice weight to it, the adjustment for torque settings seems smooth and easy to lock/unlock. Its easy to read the torque settings, it only has Nm so I will have to convert using my torque app for american Ft Lbs but honestly I work on BMW mostly and all other cars have Nm listed as well. I considered buying a CDI torque wrench but I like the idea of a torque wrench straight from Germany. I look forward to using it this weekend.

My Stahlwille torque wrenches are made in Germany too, though they actually have ft-lbs scales on them next to the n-m scales. No "german torque" preset setting though. I think that's a Gedore exclusive.

I'd be proud to put that in my Snap On toolbox. Hazet makes some world class tools. Emphasis on "class"!
