I just placed my order for my race deck free flow XL tiles . Nicest people to deal with, will post pics when installed.
Who did you deal with? I had Shauna and she was really great to work with, answered all my questions and got back to me really quick.I just placed my order for my race deck free flow XL tiles. Nicest people to deal with, will post pics when installed.
I'm still working towards starting (yeah long time procrastinator) building my garage...but I worked with Ashley and she has been awesome to work with so far! Spot on customer service!

Race Deck seems to be the best of snap together floors. How hard is it to clean when oil and fluids fall through the cracks between the tiles or does most of it stay on the surface for easy clean up. I really want to do race deck since my floor is cracked and has some concrete chipped up in a few places. Thanks
If you live in a cold climate but you have a heated garage (50 degrees as the coldest temperature) does the concrete still need to be protected?First and foremost, what has been missing -- and credit to Racedeck they actually talk about it in some of their install instructions -- is that especially in cold weather climates, the concrete needs to be protected.
I was working in a home the other day and they had a Race Deck installed last fall while I was working there, I did notice that over the winter the salt and sand has made the race deck look crappy
I was working in a home the other day and they had a Race Deck installed last fall while I was working there, I did notice that over the winter the salt and sand has made the race deck look crappy, The day I was there the sun was shining in the garage and the deck was expanding and I noticed it seemed it was heaving off the floor. It had space all around it to expand. I know the home owner is not happy with it.
Salt and sand make every type floor I have seen look "crappy."
When the concrete was poured and had cured for several hours, a coating was sprayed on the concrete. I am not certain exactly what this spray was, but the concrete guys said it was a sealer. I wonder if this will be sufficient? I would hate to remove all the tiles and start over again, but if I have to do it I will.

The floor tiles are covering the floor right now, so I would have to remove some of the tiles to do the "water test" in different areas. I can do that, but I don't want to do it right now, too much going on at the moment and I just don't want to screw around with it. I will have to make a point of doing it before this coming Winter gets here. Thank you for the information, I appreciate it.Take a cup of water and pour it in the floor. If it beads up or sits on top you should be in good shape. You might want to check two or three places. If it was a topical sealer it may have worn down in places.
IMHO all concrete needs protected. It's under 100 bucks for most two car garages.

What do you recommend for prep under the race deck?
