Well, I was helping my granddad move and long story short, I got this 220v Mac Tools Compressor for $75.

I'm not exactly sure what model it is or what's it's worth, but it runs like a champ. Granddad says it's a 6 HP and the model number comes up on the internet showing it's a 44 gallon tank. Can't find anything on the motor though.

Looks like it says AEPA5044V.

Nothing comes up for this.

Any knowledge to be shared is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Well, for one, was it a good deal, and where can I find out the hp rating? Typing the model number into Google gives me the tank size but nothing I found on it gives me the hp rating for the compressor motor.

Personally I feel really good about what I paid.

Find the amp rating and go from there. On 240v, 5 hp will pull about 23 amps.

Motor HP should be on the plate on the motor. If it works, for $75 you got a good deal

Good. We gotta clear out some space in garage to get to the 220 plug to see if it works. I think it'll get a paint job. If it doesn't work and it's not expensive to fix, I'll keep it. I've been needing an air compressor. I just hope I did good with this.

And about the hp thing, I can't find a plate anywhere that has any ratings on it. I'll have to check again tomorrow.
