Just picked this up 15 minutes from my house for $30. I feel like it stole it but that's what he was asking.
Patent from 1914
#104- 4 In jaws
Jaws have the grooves in them so that's good.
Opens and closes real smooth. Really doesn't need any cleaning up.
Adding the collection. I have 2 Rock Island vise's and now this 👍

Have one just like that with the swivel base ... it was on my dad's bench and as a kid I whacked so many things on that old vice --- including the back of it where I later learned it was not an anvil!

Was going to "restore it" -- but -- could not bring myself to clean off all the different colors. Each reminded me of some project my dad and I did.

That poor old thing doesn't even have a swivel base, why would you bother?
