...and have a couple questions. I've been unable to get the Collecting Snap On web page to work, but figured someone here might have the answers.

It's the chrome set, not impacts, with sockets from 1-7/16 12pt up to 3-1/8 6pt, a sliding tee handle, a couple extensions, a couple adapters, and the ratchet, obviously.

What originally came with this set?
What 1" drive chrome sockets were available? Did Snap On include all of them in this set?
When did Snap On discontinue this set?

By the way, these won't be languishing away on a shelf somewhere. I work 72 hours a week on D10's, 992's, 777's, and a whole lot of other equipment!

Thanks all!

The 1" set you have is called a 521AEHDB and listed for $3,133.45 can in 1990.

You have all the pieces for the set, and larger sockets were available but special order.
The only other 1" drive items are the breaker bar head and ratchet adapter

My guess is they discontinued the set in the late 90's. A retired mechanic gave me a 1990 catalog and price list. Hope this helps

Side note: Surrey is next to the US border and i have seen some big equipment come across on the way to mines somewhere in BC. Komatsu 475 and Liebherr 766 dozers. about D10 size. Huge stuff you work on
