Also check Griots Garage. I remember seeing some sodium halide lights that Richard used in his own ultimate garage.

I did all the planning, design and building myself, except for the great help of a few buddies. The trusses we put in place with a crane. I was originally going to have the whole upstairs as a separate apartment or storage, but the P&Z gave me a hard time , so I kept it to a loft. The walls are ten feet 3/12 inches in the first 15 feet. After that the cathedral or vaulted ceiling starts. about 16 feet to the center.

I will probably put the lift in the left bay near the back. I need to lay out the pex pipe this week and make sure I dont put any pipe where the lift bolts need to be. The lift is down the road. I want to get it insulated and the walls/electric/lighting/compressor done first!

Great build!

Just wondering, what size are your garage doors? and the side wall height?

Side wall height is 10' 6" The doors are 10x8 insulated.

heres a pic of the rerouting the heat pipe so we dont drill in to it when we put the 2 post lift in.

The off red hose in the middle of the picture is the air hose that is holding pressure all night in the pex pipe so we could make sure there were no leaks.
They poured the floor today!!! Its about fvckin time!!!:rocker: :rocker: :3gears: :drink: \ These two pix are just after they poured, but they hadn't power troweled or pointed it up yet./

These two are after power trowel and broom finish. I had them leave it rough so I can epoxy it and not have to bead blast it.

Now we can get serious and get the heat system started and the wiring done.

My car is in my next door neighbors garage. His stroked and poked and blown 93 anniversary vette is getting the AC hooked up so I had somewhere to store it while I was getting the floor done. Best neighbor ever!

had 10 yards of processed delivered today and got that all leveled. The sprinkler is on it right now packing it down. I'll roll it in the am before it dries.

I am tempted to start putting my tools in there but I should wait until I epoxy the floor so I don't have to move all that stuff around when I do the floor. concrete is only 48 hours old also, so I am going to wait.

Tomorrow Im going to finish the wiring in the far corner so I can insulate that area and put the work benches on the wall.

Can you give me some info on how you did the foundation? How deep and wide

Sure, It was placed on a hill so the walls in the back are 8 foot walls. around the side they go to five feet and the wall on the upper hill is 5 feet also. Standard 10" wall all around.
