Hello everyone! I am new to the Garage Journal, but I must say I have spent hours gazing over many threads! There are so many creative people on here that it makes me want to get started on my own garage now (no money :( )

Well I am 20 years old, and have caught the tool bug--I just want them all! Last year, I bought my HF 44" tool chest and I do like it a lot! I have started a decent collection of tools; however, there is no where near enough to fill it yet, but I have years to go. I am a college student so my budget is tight, but it feels so good buying new tools! By the way this is my parents garage since I live at college most of the year..

Here are some pictures of what I have got so far...

Some worthy tools to mention:
-Arcan car jack
-MAC 1/2" Torque Wrench
-MAC 1/2" Breaker Bar
-Craftsman socket set + ratchets
-Craftsman metric + SAE wrenches
-Kennedy 520 top chest
-HF 44" bottom chest

It's a good start but if you aren't really using tools that often remember not to go crazy with buying stuff. Don't force yourself to eat ramen noodles because you want a good tool "collection". Limit yourself and stick to your limit. If you bought that mac torque wrench used (don't know) be sure to check it and have it calibrated if necessary...but if you're not currently using it all the time just wait until you are (keep it stored at the lowest torque value of the wrench).

Thanks guys! Yea what you see is what I have bought when I needed the tool. I am not a professional mechanic by any means, but I love working on my truck (which has been fighting me since I have gotten it:mad:) and I love building/tearing things down. Thanks for the input though! When I need a tool, I start saving up for it then and when I have the money I put it down, I don't pull it out of my savings.

Just got some new tools! I got a set of MAC BHFM box end wrenches but the 14/15mm hasn't shipped yet

I also got a Snap On 3/8" long handle ratchet

Overall, very happy with both!

You're off to a great start.

Keep it up and one day you'll have more than you'll know what to do with. :bounce:

Any plans on whats next? Your pliers, wire strippers, and screwdrivers could use some additions. I also dont reccomend those socket rails, much better options out there.
