I have never once felt regret or remorse for using the two wrench trick. Does that make me a sociopath?

Only if you are doing it with someone else's tools.

Years ago my ex-brother in-law came over to my place to change the clutch in my sisters car. He needed my help and my tools. I have a whole plethora of tools... ratchets of all sizes, breaker bars, sockets, etc...

With all of those tools at his disposal, how does he decide to remove the brake caliper bolts? With two of my combination wrenches linked together.

There was a post about these wrench extenders some 1 or two years ago. Even some home made ones.

A hairy girl with her own tool extension?? // are you wondering whether she or is it her tool extender that is any good?? // any hands on experience within the community?? wonder if she is a tool polisher??

thinking a simple long pattern combination wrench would be a bit easier to chat over.

I've double wrenched beautiful chrome Wrightgrips before. I'm a bad bad man.

Your a horrible person... and should immediately send the Wrightgrips to me for protection. I dont have any idea what anyone else uses to break a bolt free where only a wrench will fit, but the Mueller-Kueps alternative seems to be the best option. Ive only killed two wrenches with the trick, but both times it has been the box end that gave way on the open end.

I usually just weld 2 wrenches together.

then cut them apart later.

I actually have one I made at home, but of RHS witha. Few pieces of keysteel welded on to “lock” the spanned in. The Snap Ons don’t seem to mind too much

I freaking love "double wrenching", and honestly have no idea why some people get so bent out of shape about it. I've even double wrenched a ratcheting wrench before.

The only wrench I've ever damaged double wrenching, was a Snap-On 13mm, which I'm pretty sure was defective, since I double wrenched a Craftsman 13mm immediately after and got the bolt out. I'm not sure I'd pay money for a "double wrench tool", as usually the whole reason double wrenching occurs in the first place, is that I usually have another wrench with me anyways.
