I thought I would introduce myself. I spent seven years as a vehicle mechanic/recovery expert in the military and worked nights during that time too in several different shops. Following this, I went back to school on the GI Bill for mechanical engineering, earned my bachelor's degree in three years instead of four (almost had it in 2.5). Now I work for one of the world's largest OEMs as a performance engineer for engine design. I tend to be a spook about revealing my true identity online due to my current and past professions, so please respect this, but meeting new friends offline is always welcome and encouraged.
Relating to tools/garages...I have held numerous certifications in my short lifetime (27 years) relating to vehicle repair, welding, hazmat, and a few other fields. I love tinkering with just about anything, especially things metal. I have rebuilt and own several machine tools, along with just about every manner of regular hand/power tool. My number 1 hobby is actually tool restoration and shopping for my collection at various auctions/flea markets/estate sales. I recently relocated to Indiana from NY (state - born and raised) for work, and am temporarily working out of a two-car garage until I can buy a house here sometime next year and build my dream shop.
If there are any questions, please dont hesitate to ask.
