I won a snap on CTS561CL from a contest at school. the snap on rep told me I'll be getting it in the mail soon and I was wondering if anyone else had one or has used one before. its the screwdriver not the impact so i'm not sure if im going to keep it or possibly sell it and buy the impact set. im in an automotive program in college. work mainly on Japanese cars. im new to the site and would like to see how things work around here. ive heard a lot of good things about the information one can obtain here so im excited to see what the experts have to say about my lowly questions :)

It is said that if the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. You have a power screwdriver. Everything will look like a screw. Seriously, look at what you are doing in school and your career and how often you may use it, versus "something else". I am of the opinion that one can never have enough tools. Nice win.

Our snap on rep gives out prizes from time to time to students with the highest grade in there class and I got lucky this time :) took me by surprise because I don't usually ever win anything.

I reach for my cordless screwdriver way more then a standard screwdriver. Interior work goes much faster with a good cordless screwdriver. I work on Volvo's and they all have a splash pan underneath. A cordless screwdriver will take it off with a #30 torx bit. Going back together will not strip the plastic nuts they thread into either. Nice win!

I heard a lot of guys like them for under dash/ interior stuff. Use mine at work all the time. I like it.

I have this kit, which also has a flashlight with it, and I also have the 3/8 impact model of this. Do yourself a favor and buy the CTS561BITSET. It has all of the drivers you will ever need for this drill. As others have stated.. It will be your best friend when working under dashes.

This little guy has some power for what it is. I have put together cabinets and tables with it (those things you buy at WalMart and whatnot) and I use it at work for doing interior panels. I am happy with it. You will be too im sure.

Congratulations on the grades and tool win!!!

I have the earlier version without the torque adjustment and have worn the red off of the head. it's the best thing since sliced bread for trim, air filter screws, any small fasteners really. get some magnetic nut setters and some magnetic bit extensions and it will quickly become one of your favorite tools. It has a small footprint for great access. It's definitely a keeper.
