Justen Machine Tools?

Anyone have any info on Justen Machine Tools? I can't find much of anything on Google. Looking at this 1/2 HP drill press made in 1979. Any good? Junk?

Generic Asian drill press, probably Taiwan, probably 13" + 5 speed, speeds not ideal for metal work, probably OK for wood working. What else do you want to know?

Thanks for the reply. You are correct. I found a Justen label online after I posted and sure enough, Made In Taiwan. I'll pass on this and keep on the lookout for a USA made one. Thanks.

Many Taiwan made machines of that era are quite good. Remember that Delta has been importing from Taiwan for decades.

looks very similar to the old CM 5speed we have at the shop.


as mentioned, the available speeds arent the greatest for metal work.

i have an import benchtop DP that spins as slow as 240rpm.
