Does anyone have a k-d 2294 or an old k-d catalog that tells you what tons that this is rated for? I've had it for a long time and can't remember what inches/tons it is. If you need pics let me know.

I just got one today in a batch of bolts and miscellaneous tools. No idea of its rated strength; did a bit of searching, but no luck. A 1959 catalog, too early https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/lit/kd_tools_2_1959.php
and a 2010, too late http://www.billavista.com/atv/PDF_I...Automotive Specialty Tools - 2010 Catalog.pdf

You might be able to estimate by measuring the arm lengths and compare with the numbers listed in the 2010 catalog, but I am guessing the 2294 is at least the 5 ton range, maybe more.

Is it even common to rate them by capacity? Usually it just gives the grip size. If it fits it should be strong enough for the job. A 3 finger puller might be stronger. I didn't look but a lot of KD stuff is now in the Gearwrench line, but still has the KD prefix in the part nunber.

My bad. I see a lot of them are ton rated. See what size it is and compare it to similar two jaw pullers. I would think it is strong enough for anything that the jaws fit around. I have used pullers for years and have never stopped to consider the ton rating. If the screw is propperly lubricated, you should be good to go. I searched for quite a while and came up dry for that number.
