I saw a new 3/8" drive flex head KTI ratchet on Ebay tonight for $20 shipped, but I could not find any country of origin info on the KTI site. I emailed the seller a question asking if it was stamped on the tool anywhere- he replied that he did not see it marked, but that he lowered the price to $10 shipped!!! So I bought it....

So, anyone familiar with KTI?? Looks like some nice stuff, but I wonder if I just bought some china **** that I could've gotten at HF for the same price.... :headscrat:headscrat

From what I remember it is an imported SK clone. Never seen it in person so I can't comment on the quality.

Edit: Went to their website and noticed they have ratchets other then the round heads.....I'm guessing you have the pear head flex?

Looks like typical imported stuff but $10 is hard to beat for a decent flex head even if it is imported

Thanks for the help guys.

I did a little more research on their site, and the New Item press release for metric combo wrench sets says "Made in Taiwan" at the bottom of the page. So, unless this ratchet is marked and the seller just couldn't see it or didn't want to check- I'm betting it's made in Taiwan.

I'll report back once I get it in my hands.........

I have a few tools from them (extra deep 5/8 spark plug socket, 3/4"-1" impact adapter, and a t10 torx socket. Torx socket is USA made and the others are offshore but appear to be very high quality.

K-Tool, from what I understand, is yet another re-brander of tools. Most of the stuff that I have seen is typical Taiwan and China stuff. Nothing special... tools that are just good enough when you are in a bind an that's all they have at the auto parts store.

I bought some K Tool brass punches last spring to remove the bearing races in my trailer wheels. They seem to be good quality.
