I have been on the lookout for one of these with original paint for awhile and finally found one. It has decent paint but there is jb weld on the top! Any tips for getting it off? There is also some other paint spills on it but I think laquer thinner will get that.

From their web site:

When fully cured, J-B Weld can only be removed by grinding or filing it off, or by directly heating the product above the 600º maximum temperature threshold.

Mick is spot on. Free advice. Don't heat it. You'll do more damage than good.

Aside from the flaws, if you cut and buff the paint you'll still have a decent looking original paint K260.

If you acquire this rig, post a new thread with your clean up and detailed pictures.

Yes I concur. Original paint is my goal here. Also I have already purchased it, so I am stuck with the jb weld until a removal procedure can be engineered

It may take off the paint below the JB Weld, but I'd use a small chisel to try to chip it off.

I'd be careful with using lacquer thinner to remove the paint drips, I think it may attack the original paint as well.

Dang nice. I've had good luck with a fresh razor blade and buffing compound.

Shave it down and some buffing compound might work. Just don't want to lose any paint
