KAL 1249 3/8 ratchet

After cleaning all the gunk out of this ratchet, not the teeth click a little bit too far and the reversing mechanism gets stuck. I can look at it and tell the little spring that puts pressure on the foot is notched and incredibly worn. Long story short is it dont work any more. This ratchet is at least 20 yrs old as an older man gave it to me 13 years ago and it was a used military ratchet then. It says KAL Korea on it. Im having trouble finding replacement parts for it. Anyone know where to get them? Im sure there universal with some other brands.

I tried to order a kit for a KAL ratchet that I have that just spins by calling American KAL in California and they told me that they went bankrupt and then started back up in business under American KAL instead of KAL America and they do not honor the warranty on any of their tools anymore. I put the broken ratchet and a good working KAL 3/8 ratchet in the classifieds a couple of weeks ago.

If you do a search for KAL, I believe you will find the company is still operating, but does not deal with the public regarding replacement parts of warranty issues.
