Well I havnt done one of these in a long *** time haha.

My name is timm. I live in the Kansas City Missouri area and tattoo and illustrate/paint hotrod stuff for a living.

I've decided to bump on over here from the hamb as my wife and I have bought our first home and as such the projects have switched from mainly old car stuff to old house and old car stuff!

I havnt done much to the garage/ shop area yet out side of moving stuff around a million times in hopes of finding where everything is supposed to go :)

I guess I'll post a... What do you call them here? A build thread? Anyhow, one of those in the future and get you all up to speed with my little space and see what kind of neat ideas all of you can come up with along the way.

I'm mainky using the site on my phone so please alow a little learning curve as I figure this forum out posting wise :)

Timm: posting pictures is a challenge for me still from my cell and i usually wait to get on my laptop to do so. you might try to post a couple on this thread of your cars or garage so you'll know how.

on my laptop i use the paperclip just above where we write our posts sort of like attaching a picture to an email. if that doesn't work for you i hear Tapatalk works for some of the members. if you are having any problems posting pictures let us know or if you need help figuring out the forum just ask.

cheers

Thanks for the welcome :)

I read that the Tapa talk app will let me post from my phone so I think I'll look into that.
I keep running into space limits on photobucket so I don't think I want to rely on that right now.

I finally got used to the hamb' new mobile lay out after nearly a year and now it's like starting over haha. Oh well I'm sure il figure it out :)

Yeah, I don't know if it's the tweaks or if you just need to use it for a couple frustrated months but I think I have it sorta figured out. Though I will say that in the 15-17 years that I've been a member it was the most drastic change, initially I just kept using it via the iPhone app and then when that was killed I just stopped all together for a couple months.

But since you brought it up ;) here's my build thread of my ford. The car isn't finished and the thread goes a little dormant more or less when we bought the house but it'll work until I find a laptop to use or an app etc.

I hope you got a nice place on the East side of the muddy Mo. Missouri can always use more dudes that are into tats and rides. Me, I am one of the old school fools that still builds traditional hotrods. Hope you get a break from the rain/thunder storms today, raining like a mother down here in the Holler! Welcome aboard.

Yeah I'm to the east as well, the rain is great for my yard.... And trouble shooting my down spouts that I was just so sure we're going to work great lol.

I favor the traditional as well which can only mean we either already know each other or know 70 of the same people haha

Timm: i used to post with Photobucket images which come out full size, but they do take up a lot of space in a thread. they also tend to disappear if accidently deleted from a Photobucket account and the thumbnails are full size with 2 clicks. if you put the link to your new thread in your sig line via your profile then others can click on it when you post on other threads and it might get you a few more viewers and opinions.

good luck

Thanks :) I've added the link in my signature and a profile photo but it looks like maybe it doesn't effect existing posts?

Timm: the link to your garage works that you added to your sig line. i'm not sure what you mean by a picture in your profile. the avitar is where you can post a picture. you might want to put your old Ford as yours to start unless you have a better picture to post. I've had a few different ones since I've joined so you can change it anytime you wish.

if you still have questions about how to use the forum just ask and provide as many details as you can and one of us will help you if we can.

good luck with the garage.

Ha! I figured it out. I had added a profile photo thinking it would also be my avatar. I went back and saw that they were separate. I think I've got it now :)
