So my wife bought me a chop saw, she offered the $200 Dawalt, but I opted for the $99 Kawasaki (I needed it for a current project, but infrequent use otherwise). I looked them up last night on the net and they appear to be made by Alltrade tools, same company that makes snap-on.
Anyone have experence with the Kawasaki chop saw, I used it today. It seems tight and well built...Heck it even cut metal:thumbup:
I guess Im hoping that the $100 spent on the saw was well spent, I just couldnt justify the BIG name tool.
Thanks

Oh brother...All Trade doesn't make Snap-on. Snap-on is made by Snap-on. All Trade licensed the Snap-on name to sell cheap "tools" and accessories through discount auto stores, etc. The All Trade "Snap-on" stuff is pretty much junk. All Trade must have thrown them a lot of money to license the name, but somehow, I still think this is a bad deal for Snap-on if people start associating All Trade with them.

It's the same with Kawasaki. Licensed a recognized name to sell imports, largely Chinese, through stores like Pep Boys, etc. I'm sure for occasional use, it'll be fine.
