I've only made one purchase from them and was blown away at the service I got on a piddly purchase of only about $20 bucks.

Thanks for the reminder. I think I need to pick up a few more of those Heyco/Wera drive adapters.

(* now all I have to do is try to figure out what the part numbers were! *)

I'll give em the nod as well, purchased a bunch of fun stuff lately and it was handled perfectly, shipped quickly and communicated about as perfectly as can be.

Re: KC Tool - A class act!!

I bought a Wiha 26 in 1 screwdriver a few months ago and the spring loaded cap gave me fits from day one. Finally it wouldn't even stay latched shut.

I asked KC tool if I could still exchange it. (nice tool, just a weak cap design).

Within a couple hours they not only issued an RMA number but even included a prepaid shipping label. (I was fully prepared to ship it back on my dime).

I had the replacement from them in about a week.

They could have so easily told me to deal direct with Wiha since it was a few months after my purchase but took care of me instead.

These guys are really a class act!!

I ordered a couple of items from their black Friday sale. They are top notch, and go above in beyond with their customer service. They definitely earned a repeat customer.

Product selection is great. Shipping is another thing. I read their shipping policy front to back, and nowhere did they make a mention of paying for duties and fees. Usually when there is no mention of this the seller accepts responsibility for these. In this case they did not, forcing me to either pay the outrageous fees, or return the items at my own expense AND not get refunded for the original shipping cost. Customer service was no help on this.

So great products, but would not recommend for Canadian customers. I will be purchasing elsewhere from now on.

I am confused. Why would the the seller pay the tariffs or fees for the buyer. How would a small seller even know what to charge etc. I sold a couple of new panasonic Batteries to someone in Europe. Only charged them what the PO charged me to ship and the next thing i get is a nasty email wanting me to pay their duties. Logic should dictate if you live in a country that charges these fees on imports. You the buyer should be prepared to pay them.

Sometimes yes sometimes no. It depends on the situation. That's why I always read the shipping details closely. Places usually tell you if you are responsible for the duties and fees. I both receive and ship a lot internationally, shippers have the option to pay the duty fees during shipping. Lots of places offer truly free shipping, KC does not, and they don't tell you this until you get the FedEx bill.

I'm semi-familiar with your situation and wanted to provide an update. From what I know, your complaint was that our Shipping & Returns page made no mention of customers being responsible for customs and/or duties. That was true at the time of your order. The page has since been updated to include a note saying this to avoid any future confusion.

Our FAQ section, though, includes all of the most frequently asked questions we've had over the years. This question has come up previously and was mentioned there prior to your order under the Delivery section: https://www.kctoolco.com/faq/#del11

Free Shipping is also mentioned under the Orders section in the FAQ. A note has also been added there since your order regarding customs and duties being the customer's responsibility.

If there is ever any question or confusion about anything prior to an order being placed, we are always more than happy to answer it! Every email we receive at [email protected] is replied to within one business day. Anyone is also more than welcome to ask for me if they call in.
