Hand Tools KD Tools and ALLEN Tools the same?

I've noticed that K-D and Allen tools sometimes look the same like some ratchets I've seen. Does anyone know are they the same company?

Also I've noticed that they don't have much demand. Especially the K-D brand tools. They don't appear to be worth much at all.

Are they just cheap made tools? I was wondering what the "Garage Journal" take was on these tools? Are they any good?

Yes they were part of EASCO then Danaher then Apex. Allen, KD, NAPA, Craftsman and Easco all the same stuff. All gone to china or closed or sold like Craftsman.
