Hmmmm...ordered some stuff this morning. Just received a shipping notice and in the email it says the following items were removed from my order due to "an unexpected change in our inventory levels"...

1/2"Dr 15" Flex Hdl - Part # : 731315
3/8"Dr Quick-Release Ratchet - Part # : 721110

In both of theses cases, the website still shows over 600 available... I guess they lost 600 of them...

I received a box of the tools I ordered today. Look like they were recovered from a lost tool warehouse :D But they are KD USA, glad O'reilly is closing these out. Thanks for the heads up OP.

I wish i needed something so i could get in on the action. But I'm glad to see people taking advantage. I had no idea so many people would.

I don't need anything but I'm a sucker for NOS USA tools, especially the RHFT flex head ratchet @ $13. These in the Craftsman version routinely go for $$$ on eBay, nothing like this made today. The breaker bars are nice too.

those are the metel selectors. they are the same as the allen, menards napa and sk ratchets. i have the 1/4 and 3/8 sk branded ratchets. with a little spring and oil work they are quite nice. whatever cman did to cheapen up their version to make it crappy sure worked.:lol_hitti

I placed an order this morning, I really wanted a 3/8" RHFT flex head but they were going for way too much on eBay. I actually saw this on the other garage forum, but thanks anyway OP.

I ordered:
-2x 721413 3/8" dr. RHFT flex head
-711708 1/4" universal joint (Did not have one)
-721310 3/8" dr. breaker bar (For the truck)
-63622 22mm 12pt. combo wrench (Do not have wrenches larger than 19mm, only showed 2 left in stock *crosses fingers*)
-731716 1/2" universal joint (Did not have one)
-731318 1/2" dr. 18" breaker bar
-721712 3/8" universal joint (For the truck)

Shipping was reasonable at $13.

Pickup my 3/8 breaker bar at oreillys yesterday.

I had a different manager tell that anything the website has listed can be ordered to the store. I complained about having to order the flexhead on line and he replied that if its on line it can be shipped to the store and the salemans weren't pulling the items from the right page or source to get it shipped to the store. So headsup fellows the right saleman can get what you want just have to find the salesman with the know how. I had a pair of the 14" pliers ordered yesterday that I was told I couldn't get earlier. Think I'm gonna get one of the 18" 1/2' breaker bars too before they run out.

They are the same as the last generation Kobalt ratchets that were USA made too. Definitely nicer ratchets that the Cman raised panels, however far from my favorite. I ended up getting ride of my Kobalts. If you need some new ratchets and the price is right, they would be hard to pass up.

the way in store ordering works at oreilly, there are (x) number of warehouses, each store gets access to 2-3, only one is next business day usually. at least in ohio thats how it works, so if you order online, its sent from where they are sitting, if your oreilly has access to that warehouse you can order it, theres no way to get it if they dont, you'll have to go online...

at least thats the way it was explained to me, it explains why some of you can walk in and get them and some of us cant :dunno:

In for both breaker bars, 1/4" ratchet, U-joints and adapters. Same story with having to ask for a manager to find out which items I could get from nearby warehouses. I was only able to buy 7 out of 19 items on my list but I'm short on funds right now so its only worth it for me on the ship to store items w/ free shipping. THX OP!!!

My 3/8" RHFT flex ratchet has all kinds of issues. First, the chrome is flaking very badly. Second, it's engraved with an "X". Third, the detent ball is missing.

I guess I'll be calling O'Reillys.

And if you have a warehouse near you, they'll issue you a ticket and you can go pick it up directly from the warehouse.

Are the RHFT 45 tooth? Are they dual pawl, essentially making them 90?

Yes mine was dual pawl when I took it apart for lubrication. 88-90? Lost track once I got past 20.......fingers and toes ya know.

The bastards at O'Reilly can't refund or replace the broken 3/8 flex RHFT ratchet they shipped me. This is according to their customer service.

I have a USA Husky ratchet that is the same as well, in case people want to search these out.

Yep. They said I could obviously order another and pay $11 shipping again.

That *****! It does list "as-is" on the items, but you'd think they wouldn't ship a broken one.

*Not eligible for free shipping
*Cannot be combined with other sale discounts or coupon offers
*No Back Orders or Rain Checks.
*Sold as is.

I got these today, ordered on Saturday. The slip joint pliers looked good but the cutters looked they'd been moved around repeatedly. It's no big deal to me, but i wonder if they're getting down to the stems and seeds of their KD supply.

The cutters actually look better in the pics than in person.

Got my shipment today, actually I got 2 duplicate shipments today. I submitted my original order right as the O'reilly site went down for maintenance and was then prompted to reorder after the site was back up, which I did 15 min later. Woke up the next day to find both orders had been processed and shipped...oh well, I'm returning one box.

One container had a hole in the corner and parts were spilling out. I was missing an extension, I'm sure it fell out.

Push button ratchets remind be of Craftsman RP. I didn't open mine yet but they probably have the same mechanism. They're solid but the feel is just ok. The flex heads feel like dual pawl and thus finer. I'm happy with those. Breaker bars remind me of Craftsman RP quality. On all of them the length of the knurled grip is too short for my hand, which is average size. Extensions have nice chrome. All things considered, good not great, but the price was very right.

Thanks to the OP.

Somehow I missed the 3/8" flex head ratchet with my order, not sure how I did that. Not worth it to order one by itself, I'll probably just pick up another Kobalt one now that they are marked down even more.

If your order turns out like mine (or your box has a hole and missing parts) then send an email to [email protected]. He'll likely tell you what he told me (SOL basically), but at least they'll have a record of their screw up. Bastards.

maybe you can contact KD and see what they say? you have a receipt from a licensed distributor. there should be no problem. i'd be surprised if they can't do something for you.

Same problem here when I received my order yesterday. Missing a 1/4" extension which migrated its way out of the bottom flap of the box which wasn't taped. Also, some of the stuff I received was full of what looked to be tape residue. Called O`Reilly and got the same response as above poster. Oh well.....still can't beat the deal...

Here are some pics of my ratchet. Looks used and abused.

Seems like a totally different situation where your extension could have been new or used and abused but you will never know because it wasn't packaged correctly. The packaging is irrelevant to the clearance nature of the deal.

My order of 3 combination wrenches, 2 breaker bars, and 1 flex-head ratchet shipped on 5/22. Wrenches arrived yesterday, the rest today. The only issue is that the 18" breaker bar is slightly bent. Shipping was $12.70.
