When I'm changing oil in the wife's SUV, I have two 4 x 6'' with a angle cut on one end so I can drive up onto it to get under the car. These wood pieces do slip a bit as I go to drive the car up on them. Now that I had my floor epoxy coated, I'd like to find something to fasten to the bottom of the wood pieces to keep them from sliding. Any ideas as to something I can fasten to the bottom of the wood to keep them from sliding. I guess something tacky I'm looking for.

I use a couple of old rubber floor mats under mine, works quite well to keep them from moving around.

It helps to have some of the mat (or rug) sticking in front of the ramp, so that the tires are on the mat before encountering the ramp, especially if they are fastened to the bottom of the ramp. Also, contouring the front of the ramp so that it starts off at a low angle helps, because getting the weight of the car on the ramp early helps hold it down.

a few removable pins in the concrete. drill a 2 holes in the concrete - couple of inches deep is fine. drop steel rod in holes (does not have to stick up much) , push ramps up against rod.....drive on. remove rods when done.

I took a length of 2" wide ratchet strap webbing and ran it thru the leading edge of the ramp. When the when approaches the ramp it drives onto the strap, keeps it from moving. Keith
