Hello All
This is my first post in years, I joined back in the mid 90's I believe.
so, I have this Kellogg American compressor pump that is in need of a rebuild
I disassembled it quite a while ago with the intention of going through it completely, I'll be replacing the piston rings .but being that it's been a part so long the cylinders have developed a slight film of surface rust. Can I clean up the cylinders by running a ball hone through them? Are they treated just like the cylinders in a automotive engine in as much as needing to create a cross hatch pattern in the cylinders?
