anyone got one of these kemppi 180 miniarc migs, around £750 I think

never seen anything like them before, very compact, do any of the competitors do any thing like them?

As far as I can see Kemppi see to be the only company that do anything like this, 15kg weight is the big attraction

just wondering how do they rate for power 180amps at 35% duty cycle is fair enough I suppose

This is what I pulled from that site

"MinarcMig Adaptive 180 stands out with its aluminum, steel and, stainless steel MIG-MAG welding qualities. When using the automation function the control panel display shows the welding current and voltage, wire feed speed, and the material and gas combination. The load capacity of this model is 180 A with a 25 % duty cycle."

The duty cycle at full output is kind of crappy, but its better at lower outputs

100% @ 100amps
60% @ 120amps

The welder looks like it has a fair amount of bells and whistles, i'm not a fan of bells and whistles, but I also have a Tig machine from 1978 and they didn't make bells and whistels then..haha

If I had the bank roll for a full on digital squarewave machine I would have one. All in all that welder seems good, if you have a local welding store go check them out.
