I found the bench on marketplace today. I’ve searched here and Googled with not many results. Is it with $300? He says that price is firm.

Looks like Travers listed it new at $766 before it was discontinued.

is the bench top reasonably flat, or is it warped to hell?
i think it's worth it if the bench top is ok.

You can look under my name, and search 'kennedy.' I have one of those. It was free! Here you go. I drove by a warehouse and saw it on a discard pile. It made the trip home w/me. The slides are old-style friction-fit, not the easiest to open/close, if you have them loaded with heavy tools. I'd put your $ towards a ball-bearing slides cabinet of a larger size. You can see how I used 2 x 4's & used pocket screws to build a frame for the legs, and added a bottom shelf. It made the entire cabinet much more sturdy. I don't need a 2" thick top so I just used a scrap piece of plywood for the top. If it was going to take a pounding, I'd make a thicker top.

Whoever assembled it first didn't bother reading directions. I had to disassemble it and rebuild it. The 2 x 4's I added in the ends and for the shelf made it a much stronger piece. After I got done with my mods, I saw another listed on CL for $450! A good deal for free, mine was. I already had the white pine 2 x 4's and pocket screws, so no additional cost, and it was free anyway!

I also got a 2' x 6' welded steel angle iron bench frame from the same junk heap. A good day!
