Kennedy Red Color Match

I have a red Kennedy tool chest that I would like to repaint. Has anyone successfully matched the “Kennedy Red” to a readily available rattle can brand and color? Any and all input is appreciated.

Ayuh,.... I find rattlecan Rustoleum Red is a near match to all the toolbox reds,.....

Guess it has been a while since you have bought Rustoleum. Which one in your opinion? Sure there is plain, but also hammered, one for engines, brake calipers, metal flakes, and within that multiple shades of red.

Ayuh,.... The professional enamel federal safety red in the tall cans,....

'n I grab a new pistol handle to begin the project with a good, workin' one,.....

Spray paintin' finger,.. makes tennis elbow, 'n carpel tunnel syndrome seem like a walk in the park,.....

What is the surface finish? If it is smooth and glossy a Rustoleum or the like will work. If it is the crinkle, matte finish, then it is more difficult to match in both color and texture.
