Can someone direct me to info on repairing the rear drawer lock assembly on a #200-416665 2 drawer tool box.?
The rest of the box is in good condition but the slide and spring were in the drawer when purchased.
I am sure the rectangular piece is supposed to slide up and down in the tracks but not sure where the spring fits in !
The slide has a tab over the end at the end with the opening, the other end is open.
I have popped the slide in, opening to the top, but there is not enough tension to keep the spring in place.
Any help is appreciated, thanks !

Contact Kennedy.

I had one where, when you locked it, it compressed the spring. It was a big bottom unit though.

OK, here we go. I finally got a few free minutes to go to the garage and take some pix.

Here is the money shot

The the boring bottom and top shots

And fortunately, this had the easy drawer latch, so I only needed a screwdriver to pry it out, then push the slide back into the box.

And fear not, the dust bunnies have been removed. Guess I didn't pull the drawers after I got it.

RTM, I realize this is a somewhat old post, but what keeps the spring retained? Why doesn't it fly out? I need to get a spring for mine, it is missing, so the box is pretty frustrating to use.
