Does anyone know if kent moore sells individual parts for their tool kits?

A while back I got a J-29803 brake flare kit, used. The 3/16 collet to hold brake line while flaring must have been slipping, so the PO decided the way to remedy this was to beat the **** out of it with a chisel. So it works now, but it leaves some serious gouges in any brake line it clamps, so it's not ideal.

I think I'll probably try and clean it up but is it possible to buy just the collet/die?

Looks like the PN should be J-29803-3

This is what the kit looks like for those interested. Put the brake line in the collet, put the collet in the big thing, clamp it down. Put the die behind the drive bolt there, turn it down. Seems like a better design than the $15 two bar clamp style everyone seems to carry.

It does metric bubble flares for 4mm and (6mm??) line, so I thought it would be useful to make lines for some of my german cars - and evidently some GM cars too, being kent moore.

This is a tough one. Kent Moore, OTC, and Miller Special Tool were SPX companies. There was even some product overlap. In 2012 Bosch bought them from SPX and calls them SPX Service Solutions. I could not find a Kent Moore company site but a lot of dealers sell the brand. OTC does have a spare parts catalog but a quick look did not turn up a kit similar to yours. I would call OTC tech support, A big stocking Kent Moore dealer, and Bosch. One of the three should be able to help you. Good luck.

If the particular tools are still in production, yes you can probably get parts. Expect to pay more for one collet than the cost to buy a complete set on ebay, however. Kent Moore prices make John Deere parts look positively economical.

I figured either hydraulic or turret style would be ideal, but since I just do cars as a hobby I can't really justify it, right now anyway.
