I wanted to find something worthwhile for my 1,000th post so here you go:
Costco has the Keter ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT work tables for $49.99 right now. Regular price is $59.99.
The table is ALMOST identical to the WalMart version, but adjusts to heights of 30 inches, 32 inches, 34 inches, and 36 inches. It also has a different clamping system, and is only (ONLY?!!!) rated for 700 pounds instead of the 1,000 pounds that the Walmart version is rated for.
I have both - and like both - but actually prefer the COSTCO version due to the ability to adjust the working height. If you are taller than the 'average' male (5' 9 - 5'10") you'll probably want the adjustable one from Costco since it gets about 2"-6" taller than the Walmart one. Other than that I would take either model in a heartbeat instead of any sawhorse I've ever owned.
My Costco had quite a few:
I have only found one 'CON' to this table, and that is that you can't close it up with the legs extended so add 30 seconds or so to retract the legs before closing. A minor nit for sure, but wanted to throw it out there in case it matters to someone.
I have had both models for a few months, and ...
• I stood on two of them going back and forth when I put up the truss-joists in my shop.
* I used one for miter saw stand.
• I put a kitchen cabinet together on one.
Another thing I like about them is that they have a middle shelf to set tools on. It is super-handy to be able to cut a board then set the saw on the shelf just below where you are working. I am old enough that my back is no longer as nice to me as it used to be - of course I didn't treat it very well when I was younger. Not having to lean down and pick a tool up off the floor is worth a lot to me.
I am so happy with these that I gave away all my other sawhorses. Ain't never goin' back...
I was working in the shop this week and needed to cut a 4x8 sheet of subfloor in half. I was working alone so I didn't want to drag the sheet anywhere by myself. I set up two of them in about 10 seconds each. Plopped the sheet up on them, marked and made my cut, and took about another 15 seconds each to close them up and put them away. I think it took me longer to mark and make the cut than it did to set up the tables!
I have to say they are one of those "I don't know how I ever got along without them" items. I highly recommend them.
And if you take my advice, you'll probably want to buy two...or more.
