It's still $49 at both my stores, but they haven't sold any since this deal was posted... I'm not biting at that price, but maybe they'll take the hint and start dropping it to get them gone.

I picked one of these up tonight. Gotta admit, really didn't have a direct need. But, this thing is just cool. Plus, it was less than the Snap-on hammer I bought!

I picked up 2 of theses at Costco yesterday.

The different types of clamps will come in handy.

I like how the height is adjustable too.

My 12" sliding HF miter saw clamped in fairly easy within a couple of minutes.

We'll have to wait and see how durable it is.

My problem with the unit is, it will not lock back into it's closed position. It wants to flop open when I carry it and when positioned horizontally will just fall open on it's own with even touching the lock releases. Upon further inspection, it's apparent that the 2 red "locking" levers will not engage on their own and even when I manually lock them they will not remain in that position.

... I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else has had this problem.

So mine had a similar issue on one side only. I examined the two sides and found two things.
1) There was a little bit of extra polymer flashing from the molding process on the side that wouldn't shut. A quick swipe with a file fixed that.

2) More importantly, the red locking tab on the side that wouldn't hold did not appear to be sticking through the hole enough to lock over the top surface catch area. I fliped the assembly over and noted that the red locking tabs are press fit into the underside of the bottom layer. The red tab on the side that wouldn't lock in place looked to be 1-2mm less seated than the side that would lock. Using a thick tip flat head screw driver and a few light taps with a 3lb hammer, I pushed the red tabs on both sides in until they wouldn't go any further.

The table now locks in place and stays there short of shaking the assembly pretty hard.

Don't trust the online stock checker on Walmart's site. Said none within 50 miles of me but I looked in my local store and they had 8 or 10 so I picked one up for $49. These were a black friday special so I guess they are not normally stocked in the stores.

That's good advice. The web site said none within 50 miles of me either but I checked the store and there were 7. They are priced at $49 so I went ahead and picked one up. As much as I loathe visiting WalMart, I am going to check in the next couple of weeks and see if they go cheaper on clearance. If they got down to $39 or $29 I think I would pick up another one. Seems really well made.

I've posted on this thread before and I said I didn't like these much. So, I'm in Sam's since and they have a stack of them. Here comes some guy who's going to test these out right there in the aisle. I stand back to watch the show.

So, he muses about the thing and figures the 4 legs pop down if you hold the thing up in the air and then lower it with a jerking motion. 2nd try he gets it right. So now how to put all 4 legs (which are coordinated) in the 'up' position. Right, pick the ******* up and raise it until it's completely upside down over your head and jerk it again.

Spectacular.

Have you actually tried opening/closing one of these tables, or are you taking the all too common armchair quarterback approach? Your cynicism actually motivated me to go out and try these tables out for myself. I can say that they are incredibly easy to use and do not require you to “jerk it again.” Gravity is all that is required to open it and with a small dose of common sense, it’s nicely folded back up again. Which is the reason why I just bought 2 - one of each style (Costco and Wally World versions).

If I can get my Irwin clamps to work on the Costco version, I’ll probably return the Wally version, as the adjustable legs on the Costco version makes for a better working height for me. Someone asked the question if you have to collapse the legs before folding up the Costco table. The answer is yes. I found that to be a little bit inconvenient, but the higher working height might be worth it. As others have stated, these things are solid and I wouldn’t hesitate to stand on either version. I’ll report back if I find my Irwin clamps work.

Went through WallyWorld in Eden Prairie MN today and they still have four of them and they're still $49. I really like the one I got, but I was hoping they'd drop to like $29 and then I'd buy another one.

Saw them finally at my local Walmart, not advertised and badly displayed. But I'm not willing to pull the trigger at $49. $39, maybe.

I used mine this weekend and found it to be much easier and quicker to use than the folding sawhorses I had been using. Set-up/breakdown is under 30 seconds and it's a lot more stable than my sawhorses w/ a sheet of plywood across them. I mounted my chop saw using the clamps included in the EX (Costco) version. Normally I wouldn't mount it, but the clamps were there and my 5 yr old son was helping out. Anyway, many sparks later and no issues with the table - they all just bounced right off w/o any melting or sticking to the table.

The slot for the clamps is a design specific to the Keter clamps, so my hopes of using the Irwin quick clamps in the slots didn’t last long. I’m not sure how often I’d actually use the quick clamps in the slots, as I’ve always used the clamps vertically (vs. the horizontal w/ the slots). I still haven’t unwrapped the Wally version yet because I’m still debating on whether I want the extending legs over the clamps. I did find extending the legs after opening or before closing the table to be a bit anticlimactic. My one complaint (my one stupidity?) is that the clamps on the EX version don’t seem to be able to be stored in the table. I tried all sorts of configurations and they always interfered with closing the table.

Overall I’m very happy with the purchase. Even my wife (all 5 foot of her) said it was easy for her to move around and she couldn’t wait to use it. So much so, that she pulled out her phone and made a video of me opening it up, hopping on top of it and then folding it up. She quickly sent the video off to all of the relatives (resulting in another 2 table purchases). Of course, just about everyone’s first comment was how impressed they were that I was able to hop onto the table – I’m still not sure how I should take that…..

Somehow I missed your post and didn't see it until this morning. Everything you've stated was exactly what the issue with mine was, except it applied to both sides. I never did return it. My boss took it when I told him I was going to return it. He said he didn't care if it locked closed or not.(He even gave me 60 bucks for it)

Well a few minutes and a few taps today and all was well. I'll have to use my illness at the time as an excuse for not figuring out the problem myself. I got nothing else...:lol_hitti

My other table didn't have the same issue and performs as expected. Thanks.

I'm gonna get a piece of sheet metal to set on the top for using the chop saw. I think the height will work fine. Great to know about the sparks. A short
hot cutoff may do some damage. I think you can't beat them for $ 50.00.

Back around Black Friday I noticed them around the paint department, usually on an end cap and stacked up. Last week, I saw a stack of them right when you go in the store main entrance around a clearance section (most of the other stuff on the tables looked like junk).

Costco version seems to interest me more...I'll have to check around. Does anyone have an item number for Costco (the Costco number, not the Keter one)? I rather hate walking into Walmart too...

Okay, so I've been using mine for a couple weeks. The more I use It the more I like it.

Things like this often are a compromise in that some features or characteristics are much better than others. The designers of this table managed to create a sturdy table with a relatively large work surface that opens and closes very fast and stores as a small narrow object with a surprisingly light weight--plus you get a bonus lower shelf. A winner!

Item number is 783923 if anyone wants to call ahead and ask, seems like they have a lot of stock though, this is the revised one that has the two different clamps and is height adjustable. Weight limit is down to 700 lbs (I'm guessing due to the adjustable legs).

$59 currently.

Just picked up the costco version yesterday. It was $59, came with 4 small clamps and another 2 larger clamps and a karabiner to hold a tool.

OVerall This seems pretty sturdy and I DO like that I can adjust the legs being 6'2" it's nice to bring the work table UP to me rather than hunching down.

The only thing I dislike so far is that when you close it all down the legs don't stay put into the base of the unit like a super tight fit... When carrying it in the vertical position with the handle it's not bad but when you go from the closed position to the upright position sometimes the legs need to be pushed back in... not a big deal. One other gripe that would have been awesome is to make the overall size of the work bench 3 inches wider so that you could CLOSE the unit with the legs fully extended rather than having to shrink the legs. Again, being tall I won't be using this on the lowest setting so I'd prefer to have the option to be able to collapse the entire unit with the legs fully extended, as it takes some steps and time out of pulling the legs out to full extension.

Other than that it seems pretty decent. I hope to use it more and get familiar with it. Sure beats having to use the kitchen counter for certain aspects... Folds up and doesn't take up a big profile either. 700lb weight capacity is awesome.

I just got mine at the local Walmart for $39. I did see them in December but didn't have an immediate need for it. but now... I needed an extra table this weekend for my Daytona 500 party and figured I'd try to see if they still had them available. And them on clearance and had 6 left...5 now.

Costco restocked with an updated one and different clamps, I don't think they're running out anytime soon.

What kind of price is it at Costco?

I believe I paid $59 for it at Costco.

I had a friend that had the Walmart version (non adjustable legs) and his wife did something and drove over it with the car breaking the leg or something like that. He threw it out and gave me the two sliding clamps. So now I have the Costco clamps and the sliding clamps. Pretty happy as I just used it this weekend too.

I like the portability of the unit, it's nice and in a pinch if you need a little work table this is great!

I'm just hoping the plastic holds up over time as far as opening and closing..etc.

I picked up the Costco one about 2 weeks ago, and really like it! The extra height compared to the WalMart unit is a real plus, but like NewShockerGuy I wish you could fold it up with the legs extended. Other than that, no complaints and I have used it every day since I got it.

In fact, I'm going out to the shop to work on a cabinet sitting on it right now.

What section/department are you finding this table at Walmart?

Got mine in the paint department which was next to the tools. There was NOT a opened one. Just stacked on the floor laying flat . Black in color with a white cardboard type wrapping. Most shoppers probably didn't even know what is was unless you heard about them.
