Key for Drill chuck- where do you keep it?

I just got a nice used Snap on 1/2 and 3/8 drill- both air powered.
they were used. Both needed the key to tighten down the chuck.
Unlike my other drills with cords they have no great spot to attach a string, rubber, or metal attachment for the key
Anyone have any ideas? Or have you seen a post? I searched with out success- seach was likely too broad

My dad used to attach the chuck key with a few wraps of electrical tape near the end of the cord with the plug. This enforced the 'unplug it before you change the bit' safety rule. The nice thing is, this works with either the "L' or 'T' shaped chuck keys. Do one wrap around the handle of the key, before you wrap a few times around the electrical cord.

OOOPS...just noticed they were air powered. For my air drills, I keep the chuck keys in the tool cart drawer where the drills are stored. I put a bright piece of electrical tape on the handle, so they are easy to spot.

For my drill press, I use a little, all-metal badge holder...

You could use the bigger key minder for your chuck key...mount it to your tool cart or box where you store your drill bits.

I have a drawer with drill and grinder accessories. I keep the chuck keys for the air drills in that drawer.

I just keep mine in my 29 piece metal drill bit case at the bottom with my bits fits perfectly on there. I also have the snap on air powered 3/8 and 1/2 drills I would recommend a keyless Jacobs chuck for the 3/8 drill and keep the key for the 1/2 that is what I did

I leave mine in the chuck...(front end) this way I never loose it also do this will all my mill chucks...hand tight so it will not fall out but always there when you need it

I just posted in the other thread, but I keep it in the case my drill bits are in. It's handy and easily accounted for.

My SO air drill has a hole in the bottom next to the air fitting for the key.

what are the model numbers it should have a hole in the bottom by the air inlet like ken w said i have the pdr 3 and the pdr5 and both have the hole for the chuck key

My air drill has a long enough body I was able to use black tape to affix a piece of rubber "surgical" tubing the right size to hold the key. It's out of the way and stays in place.

Find a magnet attach it

Add chuck key, a tether is clumsy

Drill press - I store my key on a magnet that's attached to the head of the drill press.
Corded drills - Rubber key leash that's attached to the cord.
Cordless drills - Key clip that's in the handle.
Pneumatic drills - Clamped in the chuck when the drill is not in use. It's on my cart or on my bench when the drill is in use.
