Kichler Leeds Ceiling Fan Issue

Good evening all,

I have a Kichler Leeds Ceiling Fan that just stopped working. Worked fine for 3 years. It has a remote control for the fan and the light. The power is on at the switch & the batteries test good.

I am assuming the control module sh1t the bed. Do you know if it is common for these modules? I haven't started trouble shooting at the module level yet. Former EE.....

Based on the installation manual it looks like there's a separate control unit that's installed in the outlet box or canopy.

It can probably be replaced with a generic unit such as this:

If the control module outputs are 120 vac, when "undimmed", I'm thinking the Lutron MACL-LFQ may be the best option.

Thank you for your suggestion. It may be good choice too.

I emailed Kichler. Let's see if they respond with a suggestion.

Apparently, someone dropped the remote control and one of the DIP Switches (for the frequency) changed positions. All is well now, $0 fix (odd for me...).

Glad to hear! I thought about mentioning the dip switches, but that sure seems like an unlikely occurrence for one of them to change position without intentionally doing so.

For the price of a Kichler fan, I'd sure hope you can expect more than 3 years out of the remote/receiver!
