Here is an end of R410a clearance special. I bought two and I can confirm that these units are Daikin units with the Goodman stickers on them.

18k 18 SEER for $789 and free shipping.

The line kit that comes with it appears pretty nice.

It is not a DIY kit, but the pricing is pretty darn good.
No link, if you intended to provide one? I'm assuming it's this one: Goodman 18k 18 SEER

I’m thinking of buying this exact unit, or the 12K for my 576 square foot garage. I’ve read mixed reviews on this particular mini split. How is it working for you?

Daikin 24k's have worked well for me for cooling.. Depending on where you are (geography) might want to go up a size.
If you are planning on heating, pay attention to the heating performance curve. My "low end" Daikins aren't very good at heating below 25 degrees.

A lot of us at work are using them and are happy with the performance.

As to the energy consumption, look at this calculator..

You will have to decide if it makes sense in your application. For my garage, where the A/C is set to 90°F 99% of the time, paying 3x to save $67/year didn't make sense going from 18 SEER to 24 SEER.

Well, I’m in Kentucky. It doesn’t really get below 15 or so degrees very often. I would really like to get an energy star rated one. However, I’m not really wanting to spend a fortune on a HVAC system for the garage. We just spent 6K on our central system last year. I know my HVAC guy installs a lot of Goodman. That’s why I was thinking of getting that e series. He did a great install on my central system.

Glad you found a reputable contractor. They are not easy to find these days.

Upon further investigation, I would get a tax credit for this particular unit. Must be above 16 SEER and 8.5 heating efficiency. Ductless systems don’t require any specific EER rating, based on what I’ve been reading. The E series meets or exceeds both standards.

Well, I ended up going with a 115V Bosch 12k Climate 5000 series with the old R-410A refrigerant. It’s 23 SEER, 13 HSPF and EER 11.5. It’s energy star and qualifies for tax credit.

The 13 HSPF will save you a in heat costs vs HSPF 8.5, heat uses the most energy even in KY , , the cooling not so much.

Search google for...... HSPF heat cost calculator

Check with your electric supplier many have rebates for minisplits.

Thanks! Crazy thing is, in Eastern Kentucky, there aren’t any current local rebates with the power company. This really sticks in ny craw! They’re supposed to be firing the programs back up here in the near future, per my research. However, I know they aren’t in no hurry! They’ll most likely start them after all my energy efficient home improvements are completed! 🙄
