**he had several, but they are all sold now**

I ran across this "buy it now" deal on ebay...AFTER I won one for several $$ more.

Maybe someone here is interested in one of these ratchets.

I am a "buy it now" kind of guy usually, only do the auction thing when I'm not in a hurry for a tool. Any good "buy it now" tool items you have found?

I JUST bought one of these off the truck yesterday , except it was standard length.

What's the point in having a long 1/4" ratchet? :headscrat

Still a good deal nonetheless.

Additional leverage for breaking loose that bolt that you can't reach with the short ratchet. I have a 1/4" drive Snap-On ratchet that is about 3" long, and it is great for working under the dash where even the standard length is too long. I even have one that is a 2" diameter circular ratchet for those hard to reach places. If there wasn't a need for all the different configurations of ratchets, they wouldn't keep them in the catalog for very long.

I know it has extra leverage, which makes sense in a 3/8" or 1/2", but in a 1/4"? I just can't think of a situation where I would need it, all pretty low torque stuff. I like 1/4" ratchets because they fit into tight places, it's not something I grab when I need to break a tough bolt loose.

I wonder how these compare to the one's at HF ... they got a really good deal on a ratchet and a set of sockets with it ... do you think I should buy the HF set since the Snap On deal is sold out:lol_hitti :rocker: :Toilet:

It's one of those thing that you wouldn't think is handy until you have it and use it. I have the Matco version of that ratchet (picked it up cheap) and now I use it all the time.

Eh, a longer 1/4 ratchet is easier to use under normal circumstance, more leverage=gets the job done easier. Plus most of the jerks at the factory have a tendency to get the little tiny 13mm bolts in hard places on tight as heck.
