Kindig's New Garage/Showroom

Thought I would share the upgraded Kindig-Design garage showroom with RACEDECK 'Smoked Oak' garage flooring that was just installed. These are the 3'x3' panels ( tiles ).
Came out really cool!

1. Cost in relation to your traditional products.
2. Your example is their showroom. Can we assume this would not be used in a heavily trafficed garage.
3. Weight of individual tiles.
4. Any underlayment required.

1. Cost in relation to your traditional products. The cost is a little more depending on which style of Smoked Oak but you do get great GJ member discounts
2. Your example is their showroom. Can we assume this would not be used in a heavily trafficed garage. - This can be used in a regular garage, I will post a pic of a shop here in SLC that uses it everyday to drive vehicles in and out ( rain, sun, snow etc) .. been in for over a year now and looks great
3. Weight of individual tiles. Roughly 2 lbs per foot ( comes in 12" , 18" and 36"
4. Any underlayment required. Nope

That was just a floor decal logo... Dave wants the options to change out and/or move it.

Here are some photos of the Smoked Oak in a commercial garage with very high traffic and year round use ( summer, winter, snow, rain, and windows all around). The Smoked Oak is a very high grade laminate finish that is extremely durable and easy to clean

Love it. I think I'd prefer this over the typical tiles for my garage.

Are these durable enough to withstand the weight of a loaded 4 post lift on top or would tiles need to be removed to accommodate the posts?

Also, any issues with moisture getting trapped under the tiles? Living in a tropical climate, it gets very humid here in the summer time.

YES you can put a 4-post lift on these floors. All of RaceDeck garage floors are a full-suspension system that is channeled to allow moisture and liquids to flow freely. This product is not a permanent outdoor surface, however.

Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't intend for the tiles to sit outside. Strictly in a garage.
Is there anyway to get samples of the tiles? Would really like to see what they look like in person.

Kindig has had RaceDeck in their shop, showroom, and travel rigs for years.. the Smoked Oak flooring went in a few months ago when they redesigned the garage/showroom.. The old RaceDeck was re-purposed to one of the crews home garage
