I would love to have tools marked King ****, makes me think of the T-shirt my female married cousin found for sale at the Mall with Mrs. Little Dickey. I can’t understand why the person who had it made never picked it up.

I have a 2BA King **** wrench and socket and am in the market for a nice complete Whitworth wrench set. This vendor has a nice assortment of King **** tools:

In my Grandfather's day **** was quite a common first name, generic for Richard, certainly pre-war.

We had a president who was "Tricky ****"....... Richard Milhous Nixon. **** was a common nickname here also for Richard, just as "Jack" was used for John or Jonathan, ie, Jack Kennedy... JFK.

And yes, what a thread resurrection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
