Pretty solid tools from what I have used. I would buy if sold locally.

The wrenches are what I have seen most here.

King **** are from the United Kingdom. They have no relationship to M7 which is part of the King Tony group in Taiwan.

The company was named for a bulldog the owner had. Nothing weird in the origins.

They are the last English tool maker all others are English in name only, I have a few tools from them very good quality. I have a metric combo wrench set from the 150th anniversary sets and it is very nice. The name was a world champion bull dog named King **** and they also used to make motorcycles. Check out their web site it shows alot of choice in their line and probably the largest maker of WhitWorth tools.

Hi All
As you all know I'm from the UK,and guess what ?
The next village to me is home to King **** tools.
I'll post some pictures of the factory and get a copy of their catalogue.Their tools are very robust (not pretty) the 1/2 drive stuff is indestructible. They also still make Whitworth wrenches and sockets.

the old stuff is great for tough jobs unlike the new lightweigh tools, a bit chunky but last forever

King ****...no relation to K-D tools??

Certainly not! Abingdon King **** are the very last company making hand tools in England, so far as I know. Still in private ownership. All the rest are selling foreign stuff under English names. 'Britool' is represented by 'Expert', 'Eclipse' by the worst rubbish you have ever seen, 'Spear and Jackson' & 'Record' cheap Chinese stuff. Gordon, Tipco, Bedford etc etc all gone years ago.
See what happens if you don't buy locally made?

I just looked at their product page. What the heck is a cranked and flat slogging wrench? The girlfriend is English, but after four years I guess I don't speak the language well enough to make heads or tails of that one. Also, podger?!

Slogging Wrench is a single ended box end wrench with the knob on the end for hitting with a hammer, have one from 40 years ago which I used to tighten the flywheel on a villiers engine.

A Podger is also a single ended wrench but with a spike used to align holes for bolts.

Bought a King **** aluminum 3/8" ratchet at an auction strictly for the name. Hangs on my wall of oddities. Ratchet is **** but the reactions from my customers is great. I have a note beside it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,YOU WANT ONE!

Had a set of Fukung wrenches too. They actually were made nicely but bought them for the fun factor also. Those got sold though.

I worked in a diesel shop that had seveal large (older) King **** large size wrenches. Chunky and solid so they were great on hydraulic lines. Never a worry using them.

I looked for a while for some of my own and found a tool post wrench for a lathe or some other machinist device.

Double the weight of any other and well finished, damn solid tool. So far but a few uses for it but I am not a machinist. I couldn't imagine dragging a box with a full set around all day every day. I would think it stayed at a station for decades without going very far.
