What are the typical ranges of these types of thermometers? This one goes to 932, which seems pretty high. Do any/many go higher?

Yeah, there are thermometers that go crazy high. I bought this one for automotive applications and even 932 is over kill.

Not really a hot deal. Amazon typically sells it between $40-45. I bought one last year and have been very happy with it. The 12:1 ratio beats most of the cheaper guns at 8:1 and I find the laser targeting is accurate compared to my cheaper HF gun.
