Well I always wanted to do some wood working stuff so I was browsing the internet for couch plans when I found a site called Ana-white.com. Well I looked at the plans and was like this is so easy so for my anniversary and because I have a wife who appreciates something like this lol I built her a set of kitchen cabinets for our really outdated kitchen. So tell me what you think but be gentle like i said it was my first time. Oh yeah these are cell phone pics as well.

lol I would but he would probably hit me in the head lol No extra kitchen work just yet these actually sit under a window where we had wire metal shelf rack. My other son is 18 months old and this keeps him out of the garbage.

I've been looking at a couple of houses... all of which will need new kitchen cabinets. After seeing this, not only have you provided us lesser carpenters with some good ideas, you've got a classy looking design there. Not too simple, not too overdone.

Nice job on the cabinets and congrats on having the little one.

On question......I see that you have a Kregs drill jig. Why didn't you put the pocket holes on the inside? In doing so, you wouldn't have to use the plugs or something else to plug them.

I like the beadboard doors. I've never thought about doing that, and yesterday I was watching the guys that flip houses and thats what they used to upgrade the cabinets. It looks like a really great upgrade.

Looks good to me. How did you make the doors? Any problems making them sit flat against the face frame?
no not at all i just made a face frame, routed out the edge, cut the beadboard and put it in the groove. then i angle naile the face to allow wood to move
Looks good Lawson. I dig it. Those pocket screws are a life saver huh?yeah they are i love it.

you are correct i should have done that but i followed plan and the plan is not for stand alone cabinets. it was easy to skin it though
