I am building a Kitchen Island for my shed. I plan to use 2 - 30" wide base counter height cabinets, and am trying to decide on the table top size. I am thinking 4' x 6'.

Does this sound like a good size? I also plan to use the newer high definition laminated counter top.

Thanks

I'd make it a tad less than 4' x 8'. That way you can use standard sized lumber and not have any scrap

how big is the shed overall and how much floor space do you actually have now?

at 30" wide these are drawer units not door units yes? what's being stored in them?

This is like asking how big of a garage to build with zero other information given.

As there are innumerable types of people, so are there innumerable working table sizes. If 4' x 6' fits your needs, go with it.

what do you plan to store in the big section at the bottom of the cabinet?

If it was me 4x6 might be a bit too big of an obstacle in 16x30, all depends on what else is there and where, photos? what do you do in the shed is it wood or metalworking? bigger machines in a space usually dictate for me more flat surfaces rather than bigger ones.
