Kitchen range, from NG to LP

No, I don't have a kitchen range in my garage, but I trust the folks on this site for info on just about anything.
I recently moved to a spot that only has propane. Brought my Dynasty NG gas range with me and bought the LP conversion orifices from the manufacturer. Also followed the instructions for turning the regulator from NG to LP. It works well except for the popping/woofing/huffing that occurs when the oven burner shuts off. It's driving wifey crazy and it is a bit disconcerting.
Factory rep advised opening the air valves on the gas tubes to full open since LP needs more air. This hasn't made any difference. I also notice that top burners have yellow wicks when turned to full on.
Any advice is greatly appreciated:bounce:

Make sure you turned down the orifice on the oven all they way. I have seen them that lacked a couple of turns to get them down to the propane setting. Some of them tighten up before they are actually at the right setting. Then look at the flame with the bottom still out of the oven and see that the flame is at the right height and blue not yellow. (this assumes the bottom comes out to adjust the flame in the first place. Also make sure the broil burner was converted too. Flame should not even reach the edge of the flame spreader above the element.

Hey guys, thanx for the replies. This is an older range we've had for about 15 years, but it's top line. The gas orifices are not adjustable, they have to be swapped out with the correct LP jets, four top burners, oven and broiler. I've done this, supplied direct from manufacturer. The gas tubes where thoroughly cleaned when the jets where replaced. On the advice from the manufacturer I've opened the air slots to max flow, no difference. The LP tank age is unknown, but we just had it filled$$$$.

I believe the pressure is different for natural gas and LP gas. There should be a regulator that you may need to adjust. Also, you will probably need to replace the orifices.

Are you running a big enough fuel pipe? Does it act differently depending on the number of burners going at the same time? You don't need a drip leg but maybe you need to check lines for debris.

Well that's the exact opposite of what the factory tech told me. I've been searching the Innernut trying to find a definitive answer, more air or less. What are you basing your statement on? No offense meant, just trying to find that elusive definitive answer.

Gas jet placement is correct. I flipped the spring seat in the regulator to the LP position. I have not checked pressure from tank to range.
