No I dont have the 9" but have the 8" version. The 2000 series Klein diagonals are some of the best out there. I beat the **** out of mine and they still cut like new. I highly recommend them. Dare I say even better than Snap On and Knipex.

I have used D200-48 for many years and love them.
The D2000-49 came out only a few months ago. They are an inch longer.
I like them a little better for one little reason- The inch longer makes the handles stick up a bit higher in my pouch making them easier to ID and grab, for me at least.
I don't think the inch helps much with leverage.
I've never had a 10" pair like Knipex makes although I do have a Snap On 312CF 11" pair that I like for additional prying leverage but they're long and awkward for most uses.
Other than the inch difference- they're pretty much the same.

Thats funny, I feel the same way. I have the 10" Knipex straight, and 8" Channellocks. I also have a set of the Klein D2000-48 (8" angled diagonals) off the shelf at HD, and they are on par with the Knipex.
My only issue so far is rust...granted the pliers live in my car trunk and arent used daily...but the Klein 7" needle nose and the aforementioned diagonals both developed rather severe flash rust. I bought them both at HD. i also have a pair of 8" Klein D2000-7CST ironworker's pliers from ebay that are seemingly impervious to rust in the same environment. Ditto for an old school 7" bent needle nose pair marked m klein and sons.

I agree ^ the new ones rust pretty quickly,unlike the older versions. I started spraying mine down with clear spray paint,it helps a lot with rust here on the Gulf coast!

I have noticed a little rust on mine. But like above mine live in a service van and get exposed to a lot of moisture. But I wipe them down with WD-40 once in a while to prevent it and it seems to work. Still use Klein for the bulk of my pliers with zero issues and no failures. Pretty underrated if you ask me. Great USA made tools.
