klein mm100

Hello gentlemen,

I just purchased a klein mm100 and think it may be defective. it reads fine, but after being turned on for 5 minutes it starts to "beep" on all settings. like i said, it still reads, but there is an annoying "beep" that does not go away when turned on. any suggestions?

Not too familiar with the manual meters, but couple of thoughts, is the hold button stuck in ? Battery level ?

it does this with the generic battery it came with, and a brand new duracell. the hold button works fine, and is not pushed in. i can not find anything about this deficiency online, and may just return it tomorrow.

It might be getting ready to shut itself off if it sits idle too long ,that's what my field piece does.Saves the battery.

it literally beeps non stop, even when in use. if that is a battery saving feature, i will probably upgrade to a better model.

Sounds like a piece of junk. I wouldnt buy any meters except Fluke. U get what u pay for!
