Klein is the standard. I have sidecutters that are 25 yrs old that still cut great Knipex is a new kid on the block lets see if they have stuff that holds up .All the electricians i know use Klein tools with Channelock and Ideal filling in the gaps...Klein has been around a long time and is great stuff This Euro stuff is pretty but cant say ive seen line guys using facom tools.

New Kid?

Knipex and WERA have been around for a long time and are the worlds leader. The stuff in american electricians toolbags is because of not knowing of or not caring about having the best tools for the job. And from socialist union pressure...:shocking:

You don't think it might have something to do with cost/benefit? Or availability?

Or perhaps the tools are not as superior as you claim. If they're so great and electricians are logical, then they should be gaining significant market share...

I love and use their long hollow shaft nutdrivers every day. All the electricians in our plant use almost exclusively Klein tools, bags and belts. And they make the coolest tool ever...The Insulated Beverage Hauler. My girlfriend got me one for Christmas and the first time I brought it to work I got razzed by a bunch of the guys that I had to be a member of the I.B.E.W to even drink from it.

Most of my electrical tools are Kleins. Klein makes some wrenches, ratchets, sockets, etc. but they are mostly concentrated on tools and storage for the electrical industry. At one time, they were a sponsor of Andretti Green Racing in the IRL series. Wonder if they actually used Klein Tools?

As a side note, my mom's maiden name is Klein but it's a different family. Damn.

I also know that one of the Kliein kids Johnathan??? was driving a Indy Pro series car supplied AGR at the time so I would figure there was a tie in between sponsor Klien Tools Indy car and Klien kid racing for the same people
one step down the ladder.

Mr. Welsh hit it right on the head. Knipex, Klein, and Channel lock are all great professional tools. The argument here is like saying is saying which ******* Bunny is the hottest; the red head, the blonde, or that raven haired beauty?

When it comes to professional pliers, price is king. Me, I got them all and I say Channel lock for price/quality/value.

I have their tool bag which I love(use it for my dremel, soldering irons, and accessories) and some screw drivers, I have a phillips and regular and a 5in1 which looks cheap but works very well. I may have a few others but can't remember what they are. The quality is good in my opinion but I think its a bit pricy($9 for 1 screwdriver).
