Knaack or Jobox?

Im looking at getting a piano style site box and just wondered which is the better of the two? Peoples experience of them? Photos?

Knaack is the higher end brand, but the jobox is just as good. I like the layout of the knaack box better.

No comparison get the Knnack I use a 36 as a top box at work for my larger items, welding helmet ect. The knack has a much better locking mechanism and are twice the box a jobox is. I wouldn't even consider it Knnack 100% also the shocks work on Case 580 backhoe doors if needed.

Knaack is heavier duty. I had two boxes, one was a knaack one was a jobox and the jobox hinge is failing terribly. I am going to have to weld it back on. I bought another knaack box and figure I will sell the jobox at auction.

Knaack. No comparison really. I worked for a contractor that must have had about 75 boxes. The Knaacks outlived them all.

Do you live in England? One is 6' long the other 5' if that makes a difference to you. I think the knaack is better quality but if the drop front is important to you and it being 5' is important then it is obvious you have to go with the jobox. I have the knaack you are looking at but I dont really need the drop front. I like the knaack 89s but it is all personal preference.

Knaack's office is in my town. Crystal Lake IL. I see them ALL OVER THE PLACE here in chicagoland. Some look pretty old, looks like they last a long time. Always wondered what they looked like on the inside.

I live in England. Grown out of my current toolbox and thinking of working abroad. Im planning on getting one of these Piano style boxes and fabricating a shelf for my top box. Then all my large stuff can fit inside. Plus the box itself is robust enough for travel.

Why do you keep asking I just read the thread and not one person said jobox. There is good reason jobox fucken *****. The boxes are not much better than cardboard buy the Knnack and stop bumping the thread.

Exactly. Im having to ship one of these from the manufacturer and its a lot of money to spend on something i cant see in person first.

I had a long day no excuse. I work for an industrial contractor as a mechanic. Due to the fact that I am available at the shop my job turns to maintenance quickly. Also when emergencies happen I am on call to setup jobs. We have between 30 and 40 gang boxes and I cringe at joboxs. I do at least 300% more work on them over Knnacks. Parts for Knnack are easier to get, install, maintain. Simple things like installing shocks is better because they put a 1/2 slot in the box to access the bottom nut jobox does not. Knnack also uses a much stronger piano hinges. I have welded at least 3 times as many new hinges on jobox, or delta boxes as I have Knnack. The only benefit to jobox is the metal is softer so when installing casters the self threading bolts (different than self tapping) thread easier and involve no pre drilling and tapping.
