Hi I bought a Cold Steel Kobun and wanted to build a stand for it. I know Kobun is Japanese for soldier so I designed a Japanese style stand to hold it. I got elements of the design through Japanese architecture and I used the same style as the blade rests from a katana kake. Feel free to use the plans if you want.
I also wanted to know what color should it be, I was thinking black with gold lettering but am worried it's too dark. I saw a lot of kakes in that scheme though.
The base will be on on the same spot as the rests, but on the bottom of course.
If anyone is interested in the build, when I get the knife and convince my parents to let me build it, I'll post updates in this thread.
P.S. I'm not Japanese, I'm Armenian
