I'm not sure I'd know the difference. Does the insulated have the two tone handles? If so, then uninsulated.

I have a couple pairs of these -- I like them a lot. I also have a couple pairs of the smooth jawed ones. I guess the Alligators are different from the Cobras. I forget how, but I think Sears at onetime rebranded the Knipex Cobras for their own Craftsman make and sold 'em pretty inexpensively for what they are. Old threads have details.

I think we will LIKELY see lower prices in the future on all European made tools. Like I said on the Felo thread, if the Euro keeps falling in relation to the also falling dollar, then it will probably be better to wait and buy them cheaper in the future.
