Excellent deal. I ordered 3 pair since shipping isn't much more for higher quantities.

Already gone!
They never had them in stock.

I ordered 3 different items, 4 if you count the wiha screwdriver deal via amazon. Received email confirmation of payment then shortly received a cancellation email. Snotty customer service woman said they never had them in stock and were discontinued items. Horrible transaction.

they did when the original post was put up, or atleast they were available to purchase.

let us know if they ever arrive

That's what *****, they get your hopes high and waste your time checking out even though the items aren't even available. They need to get their act straight.
I ordered a 12",a 10", and cutters and they were all ordered then cancelled.

that wouldn't surprise me. this falls into the category of if it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true. for the record, i was emailed an order confirmation. i guess from what you are saying, i should be on the lookout for an order cancellation.

My order status never changed from processing. I sent an email and the reply was that the item was discontinued and I could purchase a set of $60 pliers as an alternative product.

Just like the Wiha heavy duty screwdrivers orders everyone else ordered, i just received the following message from the Drillspot

"The item you purchased from us [Knipex - Plier, 12 In Length - KN8801-12BKA] has been discontinued by our warehouse. At this time we have [483681/http://www.drillspot.com/products/483681/knipex_88_01_300_sba_box_joint_water_pump_pliers] listed as a possible alternate."

No surprises

looks like the DrillSpot are on a great marketing push!?

Thanks for the follow-up info.
DrillSpot doesn't thrill me after these past few days to say the least.
They can't blame this one on Amazon.

My email exchange with my cancelled order email from DrillSuck.... (reverse order, newest to oldest)

Todd,

You know, if you are going to lie in an email with your company's name on it, at least do a little homework and get your facts correct.

I ordered direct from your website, which stated you had stock on hand. Your website accepted my order. I did not order through any sales channels such as Amazon. In fact, the next day, your website showed this item was out of stock and could not be ordered. So nice try, but your lying.

Then you offer me the identical item with a different sku# for 5 times the price. This was not "suggesting" an alternate item, it's the same item, only difference is price and sku#.

Additionally, since you cancelled my order, you still are holding onto my money and didn't promptly refund it.

I'd say all around, your business practices are dubious, and as I stated previously, you are getting lots of "press" on your tactics on the largest tool forum in the country.

Congratulations.

Unfortunately we have experienced stockouts caused by a delay between our systems and sales channels such as Amazon. Now that the inventory is gone, our suppliers are not restocking the items for the foreseeable future.

and the saga continues, my tolerance doesn't: (again reverse order of emails)

Todd,

Look, instead of continuing the lie, just stop with trying to justify your position.

Wait, you want me to believe your website does not show real time availability, really??? Wow what a business you must run. You must be the ONLY company that primarily sells over the internet and has a website that does not reflect your true inventory, remarkable, astounding, well you would almost say unbelievable. You can't run a business that way especially on the internet.

And here we are once again, you still haven't refunded my payment and you give me a BS statement about your "investigation" showing that a charge back to the payment for my order from your credit card processor. Really, really? Hey do you ever investigate anything before your send an email? I paid via PAYPAL. No credit card. You have move ******** than a dairy farm.

Just refund my money now. It's really easy. Every legitimate business fulfills orders and has a web based ordering system that works and they also know how to refund. Oh yea, and every normal business doesn't send emails with lies in it.

Just an fyi, you guys should buy the domain site "drillsucks", it's appropriate.

Be careful! This sender failed our fraud detection checks. (this notice came from my hotmail account!!!!)

*****,

Unfortunately our website does not show real time availability and products are removed or marked out of stock as inventory is depleted. Our sales in other channels and the data exchange does affect the rate and timing of when we remove items or mark them as out of stock or discontinued.

The suggested item while the same type of item is showing as a different model, perhaps a new model with same specs. We do our best to offer the closest comparable items. Unfortunately in this case we did not have a clearance priced item to offer as a suggested alternate.

I apologize that we could not process the refund in the time expected. Upon investigation, I show that received a charge back to the payment for your order from our credit card processor.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Sears outlet pulls the same ****. I ordered several closeout wrench sets for my son and nephews. Out of the 12 sets I ordered, I received 2. My credit card was charged for all 12and it took repeated calls and emails to get a refund. I think these companies are using the money as a quick interest free loan.

It's painfully obvious they had a pricing error and didn't want to honor that mistake.

I get that and can accept it like I have from other suppliers I've tried to buy something off of. A simple email canceling my order with an acknowledgment and life is good.

What I have an issue with is the constant lying. The lies to the people who ordered the Wiha screwdrivers and to myself. To further perpetuate the lie even when caught out in it is inexcusable.

Then to not refund my money from Paypal, not a CC transaction. Furthermore, I've opened a case with Paypal as they are not promptly refunding me the money and they have not responded to the Paypal case.

That's why I have responded and called him out each time he sends email with lies in it, because by doing that, he doesn't respect me as a customer to tell me the truth. And he doesn't respect my money to refund it to me.

Ya I'm pissed, it's being dishonest and it's my money he's holding onto.

I haven't received my pliers either. Just checked PayPal and found a refund. I will never attempt to purchase an item from this company again. How pathetic!

Hate to say it...but...this isn't Drill Spot's first rodeo. They've been pulling this **** for a couple of years now.
