I finally get to say that I recently joined the Knipex club. I have been needing a decent pair of needle nose pliers for a while now, and now I have them.

Everyone's previous statements pertaining to quality and craftsmanship have been confirmed. I am really excited to use them.

Knipex makes pretty good stuff, but their needle nose pliers are one of the tools of theirs that I've used and I was less than impressed. If you try to twist anything with some force, they will twist right along with it. If you are doing delicate work only, they should be fine.

Knipex has the Mechanic's pliers which can stand more twist/ bending; models starting number 38-etc.

There is also Keiba Japan!

I'm pretty sure that's what I was using. My good old Armstrongs got the job done that day.

When mine first arrived the action was smooth, but held firm. After twisting one thing like you mentioned, they flop open.
