I'm interested in adding these pliers to my tool set but the price seems a bit steep for something I may not use often. I'm wondering if anyone has seen a similar pair for less.

Wow, that price and it says on the handle for plastic? So essentially flush cutters exclusively for zip ties. I would say definitely worth the price if it something you do every day in electrical type work. Otherwise pay the same price for something suitable for both plastic and wire.

Yeah, flush cutters for plastic. I have the same but at the 45 angle. They really do cut flush. I have not dared try them on anything but plastic but they might be OK on really soft, thin metal.

BTW, $37.50 including shipping from amazon.de if that helps.

They’re a bit cheaper in Europe, but still costly.

They are a very specialised tool however - specifically for separating moulded plastic components from the sprue.

If that’s what you need however, so be it!
